Yes. Your first visit covers an examination, a discussion of options and a clear plan. Call or message us to book.

Dental Implants

How long does a dental implant last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, implants can last many years, often decades. Gum health and habits like smoking affect longevity.

Is the implant procedure painful?

Placement is done under local anaesthesia. Most patients describe mild soreness afterwards that settles in a few days with simple medication.

Am I suitable for an implant?

Most healthy adults are. Bone volume, gum health and conditions such as diabetes are assessed at your consultation before we recommend a plan.

How many teeth can one implant replace?

One implant replaces one tooth. Several implants can support a bridge or full denture, so you do not need one implant per missing tooth.

Crowns and Bridges

How long does a crown take?

Usually two visits: one to prepare the tooth and one to fit the final crown, with a temporary in between.

Crown or bridge, which one do I need?

A crown covers an existing tooth. A bridge replaces a missing one. After examining you, we recommend what protects the surrounding teeth best.

Will a crown look natural?

Yes. The shade, shape and translucency are matched to your neighbouring teeth.

How do I care for a crown or bridge?

Brush twice daily, clean between teeth or under the bridge with floss threaders or interdental brushes, and keep regular check-ups.

Cosmetic Dentistry

What is the difference between whitening and veneers?

Whitening lightens the natural tooth colour. Veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of teeth to change colour, shape or small alignment issues.

Are cosmetic treatments safe for my teeth?

When planned and done by a trained dentist, yes. We check your gum and tooth health first and avoid treatments that would harm them.

How long do veneers last?

With good care, many years. Habits such as grinding or biting hard objects can shorten their life, and we may suggest a night guard.

Can I fix just one tooth?

Yes. Single-tooth bonding, a veneer or a crown can be colour matched to blend with your other teeth.

Dentures

How long to get used to dentures?

Most people adapt within a few weeks. Small adjustments after fitting are normal and we schedule them with you.

Can I eat normally with dentures?

Start with soft foods and cut food into small pieces. Implant-supported dentures give better chewing stability than conventional ones.

How should I clean dentures?

Remove them daily, brush with a soft brush and denture cleaner, and soak them overnight in clean water.

How often should dentures be replaced?

They are reviewed regularly. Gums and bone change over time, so relining or replacement is often needed every few years.

Painless Tooth Extraction

Will the extraction hurt?

You should feel pressure but not pain because the area is numbed. Mild soreness afterwards is common and manageable.

How long is recovery?

Most people feel better within a few days. The gum heals over one to two weeks.

What should I avoid after extraction?

Avoid rinsing hard, spitting, straws and smoking for the first day or as advised, to protect the blood clot.

Should I replace the tooth?

Usually yes. A gap can let neighbouring teeth drift. We discuss implants, bridges or dentures at the same visit.
